How i make wooden brooches
Small portraits with acrylic paint and varnish protection, water resistant. perfect for hang in T-shirts, jackets and bagpacks, scarf. hats
HOW I MAKE the brooches
1-I start for cutting the sheet of wood in many pieces,
2- Then prepare each piece for the first colour, usually white,
3- After i draw the face and place the final touch with colouring...
4- Once it is completly dry i add the varnish for protection...
5- The last step is to glue the metal brooche for clasp and.... DONE.....
All of them has different size and shapes, each one is an original piece,
Even when i pretend to do the same painting there is something unique in each brooche, that's the originality
The size also vary depending on portrait forms, the biggest 5cm L. x 3cm W.
For painting in this small scale i work with very small brushes.
